  • It's not so strong here on a 1.2. As far as I can tell it's in that region around 7E but it looks like it is either drifting or has a complex inclined orbit http://www.n2yo.com/?s=32258

  • 6.0°E WGS-1 is not inclined.
    Other candidates:
    8.0°E DSP F18 (inclination 13°)
    4.0°E AEHF 1 (inclination 0.7°)
    AFAIK, Feedsat has not yet found an AEHF in X-band, so I don't know if AEHF has a spikey spectrum in X-band, as we know from Ka-band.

  • In my opinion this si WGS-1, not inclined or not important inclination, position is for sure 6°E (or very close) , one of my antenna is pointed on it since early this afternoon and the signal has not changed yet


    AEHF 1 is too far east and DSP F18 has a too important inclined orbit.

    I think I confused myself, I will check. However, I can confirm that the 7628MHz 1Ms/s signal peaks at the same point as the beacon on 7600.000MHz which has 1024kHz sidebands typical of the WGS series. I will update this post later but it's raining and the electronics is not enclosed so I need to save it.

  • Heute habe ich zum ersten Mal das X-Band (auf diesem Satelliten) ausprobiert.
    Alle Signale waren sehr schwach. Das stärkste Signal war auf 7489 L 2968.


    Das zirkulare Feed hatte ein um zirka 20% geringeres Signal :88: , als das lineare Feed. Nachdem diese Teile sehr schwer sind und ich sie wie beim C-Band abstützen muss, war dies mit dem zirkularen Feed (womit ich eigentlich gerechnet habe) relativ einfach. Um mit dem linearen Feed weiter zu experimentieren, bedarf es einer speziellen Halterung, die ich erst anfertigen muss.


    Bei der Drehung der Feeds änderte sich nichts. Optional könnte man noch mit einen Polarizer experimentieren.

    Today I tried the X-Band (on this satellite) for the first time.
    All signals were very weak. The strongest signal was on 7489 L 2968.


    The circular feed had an approximately 20% lower signal :88: than the linear feed. After these parts are very heavy and I have to support them like with the C-Band, this was relatively easy with the circular feed (which I actually expected). In order to continue experimenting with the linear feed, a special holder is required, which I first have to manufacture.


    Nothing changed as the feeds rotated. Optionally, you could still experiment with a polarizer.

    Ku/C-Band: IRTE (2,4m, 78°E - 43°W, Corotor IIplus)
    LNBs: SMW Multiband Typ E, Norsat DRO 8115F 15K


    Ka/Ku/C/X-Band: Laminas 1800 (55°E - 5°W, LNB-Changer Version 2018)
    LNBs: Inverto IDLK-SINL20-KAKU-OPP, Zinwel ZCF-D21B 20K, Norsat 9000HAF-2, 9200HBC-4F, 9000HD-3F, 9200HEF-4

    Wie kamst du mit dem Feed zurecht bzw. welches hast du verwendet?
    Bei meinen ersten Tests lag die Trichteröffnung zu nahe an der Antenne. Das selbst gedrehte habe ich auf Grund der niedrigen Aussentemperaturen noch immer nicht getestet.
