  • The "Min. Level RF" function is always smaller by 3dB compared to "Noise", I think that for a nicer display these values should be the same

You can set these levels in "Noise" and "RF threshold". Check image.dF spectrum 57.0E, Interesting that when scanning, the scan is repeated at frequencies 12581 and 12583. Is something wrong?

    Guten Abend Peon:3:

The 12581 transponder is too weak for me.

On the other hand, the 12583 sr 740 is found without repetition.

For the blind scan search I have specified sr 500 and Df 300 so that the search distance is not too small.

I don't know if this is the real solution, but it works for me.:73:

  • Thank you for the message stephan94.

I tried different dF and repeats the scan only at dF less than 270. At dF 265, it scans 2x. The smaller dF, the more times repeated scan these frequencies.

  • IQmonitor_v2405,the first scan in the upper band with tbs6903X card at 57.0E.

I do not know how relevant is for others, but I also post what I got with Crazyscan and EBS apps at this position.

stephan94 an and Peon, will you please tell me how long the scan lasted between 12500-127500 H?By dF,it seems to me that it takes a long time.It took me three hours to scan this part of the band.

I have one more question, addressed rather to @Strannik:most of us are on this forum to receive and discover something new when scanning a satellite or another,we are,in other words, signal seekers, and for that we need the right tools,as a hunter has a high precision rifle and a fast reaction speed on our part. With the new versions of the IQmonito, first condition is an exceptional success, but in terms of speed, I,at least, did not manage a quick scan on a satellite with signals coming from distant spots.

In short, it may be wishful thinking on my part, but I'd like the IQmonitor to scan a dx signal as fast as it does with a dth signal,of course without decrease search accuracy. And I realize it's an impossible task, and as they say, when you win,you have to lose something else.

Surely I do not know how to set the application on a quick scan,so please tell me how to scan faster with IQmonitor on satellites with signals at the limit?I have to admit, the 6903x card doesn't scan fast for known reason.

    Hallo satesco,

    I just tried at 57 East H.

my DF is 209 as the length from the IQMonitor board.

Of course, with only 1.20 m I cannot receive everything you get.

For me it only takes 354 s, not 6 minutes (TBS 6983)

  • Please show me how you set the monitor's board search time.

Here's what the board looked like when I scanned 57.0E:

    Hi satesco,

Your spectrum is flat, I don't understand why.

With a correct spectrum you can choose where the blind scan has to work.

with the TBS6983 the N is on 60 and not like with you on 2260 (much too big you don't need something like that)

I bring my DF to 230, it is fully sufficient.

Here is a little video (a bit abbreviated) to show how I'm doing.

IQmonitor_v2405,the first scan in the upper band with tbs6903X card at 57.0E.

I do not know how relevant is for others, but I also post what I got with Crazyscan and EBS apps at this position.

Congratulations on your first attempt to use IQmonitor with TBS 903X card :18:

You did the right thing to compare the work of the program with CrazyScan, which in just 15 seconds built something that looks like a spectrum that does not coincide with the central lines of the transponder markings.

A striking example of this is a transponder at a frequency of 12562 MHz.

@Strannik:most of us are on this forum to receive and discover something new when scanning a satellite or another,we are,in other words, signal seekers, and for that we need the right tools,as a hunter has a high precision rifle and a fast reaction speed on our part. With the new versions of the IQmonito, first condition is an exceptional success, but in terms of speed, I,at least, did not manage a quick scan on a satellite with signals coming from distant spots.

Using your metaphor, I will note that you are trying to quickly shoot from a sniper rifle, but load it like a flintlock gun or a musket, pouring powder and hammering the wad through the barrel ...

The sniper (DX-er) carefully chooses the position, the angle of view, estimates the distance to the target, adjusts the sight and only then begins to patiently wait for the moment when it is possible to make an accurate shot.:51:

In the IQmonitor program, preset parameters are made, which provide a result even to an inexperienced user.

But you are an experienced shooter, so instead of 60 points of analysis, you "fall asleep in the musket" 2260 and wonder why everything happens so painfully long ... :45:

You set SRmax = 50000 and dF = 138kHz for the program, without thinking about the inconsistency of these parameters.

When you go hunting, decide for yourself whether your target is an elephant or a small squirrel. :117: And take the appropriate ammo with you.

Set, for example, dF = 700kHz - and the program will run FIVE times faster.

The sniper rifle must be shot at the range, and the DVB 2x program must be calibrated, otherwise it will incorrectly determine the SNR from the signal constellations.

    Good luck in feedhunting! :126:

  • Thanks for the link, but it didn't help me with spectrum. It's flat every time I turn it on.For what reason,I confess I don't know. :25:I definitely missed it when this part of the program was taught :68: Please show me what I have to do.

    Thanks in advance :3:

  • Regards Satesco,

Unfortunately, with both the TBS6903X V1 and V2 card, the spectrum cannot be read. Only dF scan works. Scanning at dF 300 interval 12500-12750MHz takes more than 2 hours. But it's thorough.:126:

Leider weiß ich auch nicht, warum bei Dir das Spektrum von Anfang an flach ist.

lässt den Mini-LF bei -53 leer , vielleicht funktioniert das.

Unfortunately, I do not know either why with you the spectrum is flat from the start.

Don't mark the mini LF at -53, maybe that will work.

You must also leave the TBS6983 field blank

De asemenea, trebuie să lăsați câmpul TBS6983 necompletat

I will add on my own that when working with cards that are designed to decode signals according to the DVB-S2x standard, you need to mark the appropriate checkbox, as the respected Peon did.

If you look at the StreamReader.log file, you will surely see that your card simply does not support RFScan.:54:

    My advice to you:

First, get familiar with the operation of the IQmonitor program with the TBS-6983 card, with which it is guaranteed and effective, and then try to launch the TBS-6903x card or another of DVB-S2x standard.

    Success :3:
