Extended Air Spectrum with TBS-card

  • After simple search in Wiki ,it appears to me that Terrestrial signal is from 3-3000Mhz :25:

    by putting this interval in "ranges2.txt" in Crazyscan2 file , finding that the limit of TBS5521 is from 48-1000 Mhz

    we don't have DAB/DAB+ in Algeria yet :26.

    this is a wide spectrum for DVB-T/T2(Terrestrial signal) not DVB-S/S2 (satellites) made by a TBS-card ...may be one day I will try SDR :18:

    wide spectrum for DVB-S/S2 (satellites) uses the the method that you mentioned before with Streamreader.ini file .

    you see Crazycat separate all Terrestrial signal is his Crazyscan2 programe (VHF-low,VHF-high,UHF,FM) but there is not one wide spectrum !

    it is just a simple way to see a wide Terrestrial signal with TBS-card wich support DVB-T signal you can see also a spike of GSM signal-which also not supported with TBS :26. - in this wide spectrum :18:, unfortunately there is no constellation :88:

    there are other Terrestrial signal like 4G/5G (may be 2.4Ghz-3.5Ghz ) which are above 1000MHz -can't be seen with this wide-Terrestrial-with TBS card :88: may can be seen with SDR or HackRF :125:

    there is an other complicated -method with TBS DVB-S/S2-profissional cards tried before By Strannik :70:

    at least with this complicated method with IQmonitor you can see some strange constellation :73:

  • In my country, DVB-T / T2 has been reduced to the 470-700 MHz band, so it is useless to cross the entire band (I would see different services - amateur radio, police, airport, ... - but none of them use the QAM standard processable TBS card), it is something else if I scan DVB-C where the whole band is used in cable.

    For satellite cards, the range is limited by the components used in the card (etc. my real work from 750 to 2250 MHz - 10500-12000/11350-12850)

  • The analogue signal @ VHF_H has been switched off here ...2020/12/17 :73:

    Apparently VHF_H (174 to 230 Mhz) will be reserved for DAB/DAB+ .
