48.1°E Eutelsat 48D/Afghansat 1 (OLD POSITION GS>Ku>S2X)

  • 11490 H,68568,23/36,S2X/16APSK,0.05,ACM-new GS

    11636 H,34284,25/36,S2X/16APSK,0.05,ACM-new GS

Not sure if these two (new)transponders in S2X are on Eutelsat 48D or Intelsat 10?It is also difficult for me to determine this with my antenna, but because I have not found any known transponders at 47.5 E,and considering that at 48.0 E I have found other transponders,I concluded, perhaps erroneously, that it is at this position.

I also don't know what spot it comes from?

Maybe someone else can help me set the right position. If it is finally determined that it is at 47.5E, then I ask the moderator to move to new position.

    Thanks :3:

    Added:

After further signal tests,it appears that the transponders found today are at 47.5 E. I hope to get a confirmation.

  • I rechecked the two transponders(above) found yesterday with the S2X ext. at 48.0E.SE,and it looks like they're still at this position, because the signal is always there 24/24 hour.Or we know that Intelsat 10 has a 4.2° inclination, which means that the signal on it appears between certain hours of the day.Right now,I can't find a transponder in my area at 47.5 E.

Here's what the signal looks like now and transponders found at 48.0E(47.5E).Maybe I'll get help from another dxer :3:

It is 48.1°E Eutelsat 48D alright, the two transponders fit the frequency plan perfectly.

    47.5°E Intelsat 10 had 11557V 34285 and 11595H 26873, a month or two ago when I last checked.

So they may be changed or gone, I'll have a look again soon.

  • Thanks a lot hvdh for saying the same thing as me.I'm just surprised that the signal is quite strong from one of the satellite beams. But which one is it,I'm not sure. Most likely it comes from Steerable(?).What does this signal look like in an area other than mine?

    Regards :3:

Kypros_Pambou, sorry for causing confusion in this 48.1°E Eutelsat 48D topic.

These 11557V, 11595H and 12521H are on 47.5°E Intelsat 10 (inclined 4.3°), and I found these again yesterday when it clossed the belt.

This was in reply to satesco , who could not find any signal from Intelsat 10.
