With any card with S2X extension it locked!I used tbs6902se card for this feed. AltDVB runs this S2X feed excellently.

I hope I don't misunderstand the above quote translated by google, by which my forum colleague questions that the S2X extension parameters I report on FS are, as they say today, in other words, "fake news, by so you called, "alleged S2X Tps..."

Once again I say, I don't understand what you mean ZAZA by making such a statement. So that what I post here or elsewhere is false information?

I have to remind you that transponders using S2X extension have also modes in dvb-S2,it depends on several factors, first of all on the physical support of the device used, in our case dvb cards, some more powerful, some less, it depends on the demodulator, and on the other hand on the strength of the received signal. The weaker a signal is the more difficult it is to lock.

Another thing to know is that TV programs and feeds in S2X, like the one from 7.0E and others, usually transmit with the same parameters (extension, mode, fec, roloff, etc.), while Data transponders use several modes at the same time, even more so when they have multistreams. That's why you will find the same transponders with S2x extension parameters as with DVb-S2.

I won't go into details, but the above observations are the result of my experience as a simple user, and not a specialist of these cards. And if I write from time to time about these cards, I do it from the perspective of a regular user, trying to highlight what one card or another can and cannot do.

We also have to take into account the fact that the dvb applications we use are not perfect either, which is why their developers ensure a continuous update, those who do this, which in some cases some results could be doubtful, especially in the case of new cards with the latest technology. Only such a programmer could tell us how much work is needed for his application to be as perfect as possible. That's why I don't even develop this idea.

And let's not forget another thing, we, the users of these applications need to understand how the application/utility works in order to be able to exploit it at the level the developer thought.

To which I add the fact that we need to know what the card can do, if it is able to highlight the information we receive when scanning a transponder. Or we know that, although cards with S2X extension can do the same thing in theory, in practice the result is different from one card to another.

I won't elaborate on the idea, because I don't want to tire out the readers of this answer, but I assure you that what I post here or elsewhere can be verified by anyone.

As for the information on FlySat, I try to send reports only after I have verified the information, but I must add that much of the information posted there is outdated, because the contributors have not returned after it is no longer relevant. I have also noticed that some contributors who do not receive a transponder, for example with a weak signal, or who do not have the right device, report wrongly that they are not active. This is the case with transponders with low symbol rate, which some of them say does not exist. And then, it is understandable why some information on FlySat seems to some to be wrong.

My intervention now is only because of that "alleged",which simply intrigues me, which I find discrediting.

If somehow I misunderstood your message, I have nothing more to add and I apologize.

    Regards

As I understand satesco with his screenshots wanted to say that ACM(VCM) (not CCM) DVB-S2X signal can be locked with DVB-S2 devices because such transponders transmits as minimum with two different parameters from frame to frame depending on conditions in place of receiving that transponder so almost simultaneously (if I remember correctly IQMonitor can show them clearly in Feed Report i.e. https://sat-dx.club/viewtopic.php?p=27866#p27866 ) and CrazyScan shows different parameters from one scan to another (because parameters can be changed at any time) on ACM(VCM) transponders depending what frame is locked...

  • (because parameters permanently are being changed) on ACM(VCM) transponders depending what frame is locked...

this is the 1st think !

    believe to another ??

I have never time say its a S2X-Signal.

    No way!

Only my 2xOctagon S2X can say there is a Signal, but cannot say Signal for S2X-Signal no way out!

If you don't specify the antenna size and the approximate location, posting is useless if it's about signal acquisition.
