    Not sure about position... my circular right spectrum - to be confirmed - peaks:

    18917 R from band A

    20251 R from band B

    20461 R from band C

    Using band B LNB and ext. CS.

    8.5°E SBIRS-Geo 5 (inclination 7.4°) also known as USA 315, NORAD 48618

    8.31° Long, -5.79° Lat at the time of plots


    Very similar to 20.7°E SBIRS-Geo 2 (incl.)

    Found by qwer when it was near to the geo plane


    The plots were from a band D LNB with linear feed. The sensitivity is reduced at the low frequency end. The slope can be seen on the CS scan plot which also shows the spurious at around 20520.

    I think that you found 8.5°E SBIRS-Geo 5 (incl.)


    I'm not sure about 18917R as I can't see that low with the band D LNB.

    SBIRS-Geo 5 at 20.65E 7.2N at the time of this plot. Using an AN8024 (18.05GHz LO) which loses sensitivity quickly above 20.7GHz.

    SBIRS satellites are still indecisive where they want to be!

    SBIRS-Geo 5 only stayed near 20.65°E for 5 days, Since 3 July 2022, it's at 20.9°E.
