• After a lot of searching I finally managed to find a Gilat AN8004 but I'm having difficulties and I need a little help.

In a first attempt I did an experiment just by removing the waveguide and connecting the cable to RX port but the result was disappointing, I didn't get any results running ODU in all positions.

My location is Spain and I used a 1.35m offset antenna.

    Is Gilat sensitive to diseqc?

Do I really have to remove the ODU?

I put the LOF in 20250 MHz with 22KHz on, is this correct?

I suspect Diseqc doesn't care about these LNBs.

The RX frequency of the AN8004 is between 21400 and 22000 with a LOF of 20050.

The TX frequency of the AN8004 is between 29400 and 30000 with a LOF of 27700.

Unfortunately I only found data for the AN8002, .....

If it's ONLY a waveguide it shouldn't matter, apart from purely mechanical mounting options.

  • Project update:

Due to the state of the ODU I was forced to remove only the lnb from RX part.

After first tests, it was already possible to visualize channels with strongest signal, I will have to use a bigger dish in the future

Of course, your location is very far from mine, but on a sunny day you can do it here with 80 cm.

It cannot be ruled out that the Ku-band azimuth does not correspond to the K-band.

Sometimes a few counts to the east/west also help.

  • Hinweis:

    A notice:

    1. The company MMCL no longer exists, exact data could not be determined.

    2. The LNB is not for the entire D range of the K band (21.2-22.2)

    3. The feed is a Ku feed and counterproductive in this combination

  • That MMCL range were the same as the XMW9000 series. Their normal version was full band.

Yes, the normal versions of ALL well-known manufacturers look different.

21.2-21.85 is a “stripped down” version and is not listed on XMW either.

That doesn't mean that the LNB doesn't work at all.
