78.2°E WGS-3 (incl.) (relocated from 42.8°W)

  • The only signal I can see is an unusual 2 tone one which alternates with a carrier in the middle of the 2 tones. The carrier is only there for ~2ms every 301ms. The comb extending from the 2 tones looks like an overload of the transponder (or a test). The SDR plot appears to show that the centre tone is present at the same time as the pair of tones, this is an artefact of the capture. They are mutually exclusive in time.

The centre frequency is 7397.2708MHz LHCP

This is how it looks on Crazyscan:

    1.2m Prodelin 3122 az-el with one of:
S: Helical feed, 0.8dB NF LNA, X: 1dB NF LNA, conical feed, Ku 12-18GHz: corrugated conical feed, 1.5dB NF LNA, Ku: (10-15GHz), modified SMW LNA on rotating mount, Prodelin feed. Ka: Gilat ex-ODU PLLs Gilat feeds, Ka 18-26.5GHz: Patriot feed, home made 4dB NF LNA, Ka DSN: Corrugated conical feed, 3dB NF Down-Converter

1.8m PF, Polar mount with Bullseye C120 LNB, Precision/Elite feed
    40km East of London, UK
