    Just my test setup with AN8024 transceiver on 1,2m dish.

    You might find it better to not use the modem but to power it directly from the 24V PSU. That way the 10MHz does not enable the TX part and it will run a lot cooler. The LED will then be red indicating a fault.

    1.2m Prodelin 3122 az-el with one of:
