I am still figuring this out myself. Probably one mistake is to assume *.ts when I should assume *.gz.
So to get continuous "off-line" play, rename *.ts to *.gz, open with 7zip, enter "." folder and extract video folder. These will work 100% but for some odd reason, no audio is included. This applies only for large files found in the folders.

The downside of all the success you can achieve with both VMA and Skyscraper8 is that the stream files are saved on the drive, which means they take up a considerable amount of space. If you don't have a large drive, at least one terabyte, you may not be able to run the stream properly. These files are incomplete as long as you want to run the Live stream.
The files obtained with Skyscraper8, shown in my previous post, took up over 400 GB. But the VMA app also runs streams with files saved on your computer.
The question I am asking myself is, is it possible to get rid of these files automatically after we run the stream?

Hello
I would like to ask if the VMA Stream reader works with a TBS 5927 type tuner?
It doesn't work for me.
But the Omicom box does.
I'm just getting to know the software. -
It should work. What happens when you try to use it?
-
It works perfectly for me
. -
You need to pay attention: you have to FIRST connect the USB tuner and only THEN start VMA Stream Reader!
Otherwise the tuner is not listed and the satellite selection will not find the matching tuner and just use the default tuner (if available), which will not work. I think I implemented this behavior correctly - I use a mix of PCIe and USB tuners myself.
Of course automatic detection of newly inserted tuner would be nice, but I think it is acceptable to have to restart the software.

Here the translated user guide for the VMA Stream Reader:
If you use a standard universal LNB you should set in satellite tab and in settings tab Stop frequency to 12750, but that isn't the problem.
You can also enter the frequency and press "BLINDSCAN FREQ"

Hi VMA,
I have been wanting to let you know about a problem with the signal on your app for a long time.
That is, on some transponders, such as 12226 V at 13.0 ° E (there are others), "Blindscan Freq" or "Direct Tune" does not lock the signal even though it is strong.
I don't know why this is happening. I am providing you with my settings so you can see the bug(?) that I cannot detect.

Make sure to choose the correct polarity for the frequency, which is Vertical, not Horizontal.
-
Also, make sure to switch PLP off, not ROOT 1.
I observed that it sometimes switches to ROOT 1, but I am unsure why. Did not have time to follow this up.

Here's what happens when you click Blindscan Freq, unlock signal.
So the problem remains.

-
Please try to switch off ROOT 1.

Try a different streamreader.dll, for example, 1.2.5.208 (06/06/2025). It works even with the weak signal on my T90.
I didn't change anything in ROOT-1.Also make sure that Windows Defender doesn't do anything stupid every now and then.

Good morning, Satesco.
Could it be that your LNB is weak in this area?
Everything works perfectly for me (12226H Hotbird) (it works with the normal ‘streamreader.dll’).
Or perhaps it is the setting for the start and end of the scan?

Start und End (mit den Einstellungen von satesco) habe ich auch probiert, aber da kann ich auch keinen Fehler finden.

I also tried Start and End (using the satesco settings), but I can't find any errors there either.

When switching, I noticed that you quickly end up on the horizontal plane, which in this case is the wrong one.
In the Stream Reader window, you should select the satellite again; I initially had a nameless window when I clicked "Start Streaming." -
