Hello,
I build myself a tool called "VMA DAB Launcher".
It allows to configure known transponders carrying DAB services:
These can then be recalled and started automatically, without having to open CMD shells and typing Linux commands.
All of this works (except it is hard-coded right now to always use fedi2eti, which might be wrong - perhaps the command line needs to be a column on it's own in the configuration table). The software is self-contained: it issues the required DiSEqC-Commands, tunes and locks the transponder and streams via TCP to WSL and here to nc, fedi2eti and dablin_GTK.
The problem is: it requires WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) and, of course, ETI Tools and dablin_GTK binaries, which you have to compile yourself. I don't know how many users have this installed or are even interested in this.
In the last days I have been looking at DAB, but it is a hugely complex (over complicated?) system and it is not feasibly for me to port DABlin to Windows or build my own DAB software.
Also, it seems that this is a niche (DAB) within a niche (DAB over Satellite).
Currently, I am only receiving the WDR package, so there is little incentive.
Questions:
1) How many people use DAB over Satellite here?
2) Do you have WSL, ETI Tools and dablin?
