  • Just another check in upper range, using TBS 6903.

I can see all DVB-S2 tp and also QPSK constellation for DVB-S tp 12360 V and 12476 V in spectrum now. No signal for me visible on 12456 H in DVB-S.

All tp in this range not lockable of course.

    Best signal in S2: 12341 H ~about 5dB under LM.

/edit: and my scan/signal in lower range

  • Here's my very wrong situation on Badr 6 from my QTH

Lower band is almost impossible for me.

In higher band I can only lock DVB-S Muxes, but very hard.

When my feed was better I remember I could lock DVB-S2 in higher band, but hard. Never locked anything in lower band...

I think anyway that Badr 6 has a Spot, even quite poor, North of the Alps. Can anybody confirm?

  • At my place on 2.2m:

    Low band is okay.

Upper band not possible - it de-creased about 2.5dB here since my last scan above (may ´23).

Before satellite failure I also can receive upper band.

I think anyway that Badr 6 has a Spot, even quite poor, North of the Alps. Can anybody confirm?

When I read Kleinraisting report from upper band, receiving DVB-S signals on 1.8m, I would say, the "North of Alps" spot is more to the bavarian side and not on my western side here... :125:

As you have often managed, catching and locking the signal from distant spots is a great performance. And I'm glad you're sharing these results with us. :76: But something is missing in all these "trophies," namely how you get them, especially since you target them from the north of the continent, far from the MENA or Central Asia spots.

Probably, you don't have dvb cards and/or apps to show us not only pictures of your achievements, which are excellent, as I said, but I'd like to see the full spectrum of signals with your equipment in the area from which you receive them that you get from the satellites you visit.

Perhaps more important than what you show/pictures is what's behind them. I mean to see what signal you have on the muxes you didn't show, between 11700-11900 HV, which are hard to lock in many areas of Europe, even with large antennas.

Forgive my honesty and the fact that I express my opinion openly, and I don't know if I should say it. What makes this forum interesting is that, more or less, those who post give us their successes and failures, which are mostly of the equipment used and not theirs. In my opinion, it is not only the "exhibition" part that counts on this forum but also the experience that those who post have.

  • Hi, Torrex12,

Nice setup, congratulation! This recepted in 270 Laminas dish?

My country in this reception for some reason it's much harder, while we are closer to the footprint. I checked this satellites this year february, this frequency signal 6.8 dB, the ES37 (370 cm) dish.

  • Can anyone confirm whether there are no transporders on Bard 6 and 5 anymore?

On FlySat they write that they are already empty, but on Badr8 there are no transporders.
