Hallo stephan94,

It works! You can change "Device" now under "CrazyScan" without any problems.

Danke qwer
TBS BlindScan is 3.0.2.0

Hi Peon ![]()
It's fine test with both devices. I was (and am) convinced the 6983 has better sensitivity than any device.
I will make such a test on Ku-band between the two devices. I don't know how the 5925 will work. It has been fixed once.
Did you do this test only with IQmonitor?

Yes, because IQmonitor also lists signal reserves and more thorough searches. ![]()
CrazyScan is good for quick searching but not thorough.
Again, I was confirmed to have a higher sensitivity with the TBS5925 card compared to the TBS6983 card. Inputs A and B on the TBS6983 also have different sensitivities. Input A is better. I don't know if it's just my card or if it's all. The scan is done at 68.5e in the C band.
Sorry for the incorrect satellite in the pictures, I forgot to overwrite.![]()
@Peon
What can you say about sensitivity of your TBS5925 in comparison of TBS5520SE?
The C-band is not so dependent on the weather, but the deviations are really very small.
In the upper area the TBS5925 seems to be a bit better, in the lower area the TBS6983 dominates.
I have never done a comparison test of the tuners of ONE card. But I think that this is completely normal, if only because of the series spread of the components.
A card with absolutely the same values ??would probably be priceless.

The difference is in the whole band. It is not possible to draw conclusions from one comparison that I have published. ![]()
I did the comparison on several satellites and TBS5925 was always better. ![]()
Too bad he can't handle a low SR like TBS6983.![]()
...Too bad he can't handle a low SR like TBS6983.
...also, too bad tbs didn't provide thermal protection. My device broke because of it. To a certain extent, I'm not sorry, because that's how 5927 USB came about, as I said.
Very good that you are doing tests with 5925, but it would be better to give it some ventilation to protect it. Even if my 5925 is repaired, that's why my tests are inconclusive ![]()

I have made a chip cooling adjustment in TBS5925. I made a thermal bridge between the chip and the card case, which contains a heatsink from a PC processor. It has been working like this for several years.![]()
I'm sorry, but the sensitivity of the TBS5520se card cannot be compared with the 5925 and 6983. ![]()
Scanning is cycled in both BlindScan and the HR spectrum. The card has too wide a scan range at each step.
So it always picks up the same transponder and writes it with the same or shifted frequency.
TBS5520se :
I ask the admin, if it doesn't belong here, to move it to a more appropriate topic.![]()

I believe TBS card and various problem is good place where such Si2183-based cards problem was mentioned. Btw to solve it I turn of blindscan and insert SymbolRate manually or place start point far away to desired frequency in case of other near transponder(s) aren't present from that (lower or higher) side.
