Ayecka TC1/ SR1

    Another new toy :72:
This is a transport stream converter.
The only parameter to configure us the input RF Frequency (L band)

SR below 1Mbit can be lock (I will test it later of course)
the TC1 can convert DVB S/S2 (ACM CCM VCM) and integrate Video over IP networks.

    2 RX Input
    Mulitcast

Telnet management over IP (easy )

    The TC1 :

No, for the moment only TS MPEG streams tested, I will have a look to the single Continuous stream @ 5°W (sky TG24) later, which is the most easiest for a quick look.
    I'll back to you.

The TC1 card is the same card as SR1 but not for the same usage .
SR1 is efficient for MPE streams, great, this is exactly what I needed.

There is also a Java tool: monitoring signal

The is also a web GUI but not installed yet, maybe later (php)

PID filtering for multicast (example at 13°E 10930 H)--> Enosat contribution in the appropriate forum

there are 2 images inside the appliance, I can switch from TC1 to SR1 . (MPEG or MPE)

Thanks to Ayecka (Baruch Kugan) for their support in this upgrade ( even if it's not officially possible...)

  • Hi Feedsat,

Congratulations and I'm glad that you purchased :76:,because,if it is about this demodulator-,I'm tempted to buy it,but confess that I wasn't sure if this demod can do MPE and Generic streams.I asked a gentleman Matt, from sales department,to tell me if this device knows how to make those streams. He didn't give me an answer about that.
I don't know for what reasons he didn't want to tell me from the beginning how much it costs? Finally he prepared a note of the purchase in the amount of 525$ for the product.Follow to determine how I have to pay for shipping.
I finally postponed to buy it all the more that the costs pretty much.
Now that you already have,I wait to show us what does this demod?
One more question, should have both devices(TC1 & SR1) to be able to do MPE or GS streams?Maybe demonstrations with Ayecka SR1 will encourage us to buy it.Wait them...
    Thanks for all

    Hi Satesco,

Well, SR1 can do De-MPE so, from the Traffic port you get the Multicast of the Video over MPE and not the TS over IP.

Ayecka product are interesting in my opinion, the tuner is really sensitive as you have seen in this forum.
Not very easy to set for the 1st time but easy to manage with telnet or hyperterminal.

    regards

  • Hi Feedsat,

Thanks for the reply. You can imagine that not only I am interested in this device, but also other users.Expect you do some demonstrations with MPE,for which I thank in advance.

OK, great I hope other users wil appreciate it when I will be able to get a MPE stream in good conditions,
I need to go forward with MPE streams in multicast, few little trouble to fix :101:

This afternoon I have installed the Web GUI (php /mysql) .

much easier to get most of the satellites appliance connected over the LAN and managed by a web GUI (my point of view).

    few screenshots:

  • Because I appreciated you letting us know how to get the MPE stream with Ayecka SR1, here it is. I finally got to test the same device on the MPE Siminn TV (Video/Radio) stream, the same IP-Over-DVB/Ku mux (#26), on 11610 V,4165,2/3, at 27.5W, which I tested with the dvb card.

It can also run video and radio streams at the same time, as well as listen to all six radio streams.

I have to say that apart from you, I haven't found online that another user is using Ayecka SR1 on an MPE stream. Although those in the MSG-1 group only use it to access the EumetCast services, I haven't found anyone from there interested in searching for MPE streams. They also don't care about the WEB GUI interface; they don't need it because they have their application, TelliCast, to download their files.

I say all this because apart from what you have posted on this topic, I have not found on the internet how to do the settings on Ayecka SR1, which is a bit difficult to configure for other MPE services on satellite, maybe because the software was designed specifically for EumetCast services.

But I finally got it and can now use it for the first MPE. stream from Siminn TV.

But I still have one thing to find out, which I couldn't find, namely, how can I run the stream over the UDP protocol?

I think I'm looking for suggestions from those good at networking.

otherwise you can record the file and streaming simultanuously .

    Thanks for posting. :3:

Well, now that I have seen your ACM Client configuration, I realize that this is what I need to do to be able to use the UDB protocol.

So that was the question I didn't know the answer to.

Now that you mask your IPs, I'll have to see which is valid for UDB.

    Kind regard.

With Ayecka SR1, I could do all six streams at 7.0E with Radio Poland on 12515 V,1301,3/4.

  • You may put your own Local IP and UDP port

    Do not use regular port

Accordingly to your screenshots your lan is on 192.168.1.X/24

You can use same parameters (not same ip!) and a port such as 1234

    TCP/UDP port

  • I set up the command line for the record with Wireshark and Tshark, which works with the command line:

    C:\Program Files\Wireshark>tshark. exe -i 2 -f "udp and host 230.0.0.10 and port 10010" -w d:\Radio\Radio_Jenika.ts. Where 2 is the USB network adapter.

And for UDP, I used to stream, like, say, 10010 (and not 1234), one of the Polish radio ports. For ACM, Manage the IP address of 192.168.1.161.

With this setting, the stream is still from the recorded file.

    Thanks for tip :3:
