My research began when I couldn't receive a Hotbird transponder with 16APSK FEC 3/4 with my VU box.
Even if enosat likes to write about auto, auto was definitely over here.
Well, the E2 boxes may have similarities, but what matters is the tuner and firmware.
I now used different tuners/settings to see what the tuners in the box showed.
I'll start with the VU+ duo2 with DVB-S tuner NIM (AVL6222), which shows the following:
I selected the transponder 12639 H 10833 3/5 S2 8PSK on 16°E.
I would still understand an “auto” setting, even if it runs in the background, when it comes to inexperienced users.
Here with manual selection I have absolutely no understanding of it.
First of all, a signal is displayed to me in DVB-S mode regardless of the FEC.
