and there is 12630H hide here !

    for now is off

I do not think it's a hidden signal, but rather your lnb does not separate the polarities well. And because of this, the strong signal on a polarity appears on the other.
I was busy when 12660 H pop up and so I did not see it.

Carriers indeed very easily show as cross-polarisation peaks in the scans.
I'm still not convinced there is any H transponder above 12.5 GHz.

So far, I guess the following transponders below 12.5 GHz:
    12160 H/V
    12200 H/V
    12240 H/V
    12280 H/V
    12320 H/V (the V not found yet)
    12360 H/V
    12400 H/V (the V not found yet)
    12440 H/V (the V not found yet)
    12480 H/V (the V not found yet)
    Total 18 * 36 MHz transponders.

    Edit: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcomsat-1
    There it says 18 * 36 MHz + 4 * 54 MHz.

Keep on scanning gents, maybe the puzzle can be solved. :73:

  • 12400 H again! & off when I finish writing!!!

  • good expectation master hvdh :96:

why all tp above 12000mhz ?
is that because Alcomsat1 is near Intelsat 905&907?

  • now there is some thing not strong here ?

  • strange thing here ! just pick & there is no thing !!! :88:

The frequency plan below 12.5 GHz seems quite certain now. But to find the missing ones (in my table above) would be nice of course!

Flie, above 12.5 GHz you found 12557 H and 12627 V. 70 MHz separation with 54 MHz transponders seems a possibility.
So maybe there will be 12697 coming as well, or the opposite polarisations. As long as we end up with total 4 transponders!

Satesco has weaker peaks above 12.5 GHz, could be a different beam.

Longitude may actually be maintained at 24.75°W instead of 24.8°W, but to be sure will take several weeks.

  • thank you very much for explaning
    now 12200v again !

    Hi flie! :126:

    /edit: On again, I think: 12160 H

  • again

yes it is the same tp :73:

    thank you

Yes sometimes the test carrier is not at the centre but at the edge of a transponder bandwidth.
But then usually, you can see the asymmetry at the "noise floor" of the transponder.

    On again, I think: 12240 H

Okay, now I got this carrier, before it´s gone quickly again, as you can see...

  • Hi hvdh,

I wish 2018 to be the best year for you!
I searched on the net map of the satellite but I haven't found it.Do you know if it exists?
    Thanks :125:
