Hi Feedsat,
Have you ever tried to see what content have these X-band (gs)transponders? Thanks.
Not really.
Today's scan
new 7660 L 1972
7655 & 7673 are off
7342 L 1483, strong signal, can't lock...
New:
7655 L 2175 (back)
7391 L 2970
My first try at X band using a 30 year old surplus LNA with a poor NF of around 2dB, a sub-optimum helical feed with too many losses, temporarily attached to a 1.5m PF dish. Scan is of the whole band. The beacon should have sidebands (outside the picture) but they were below noise. All LHCP.
Improved LNA & feed
All LHCP 1.5m PF Dish
4 turn helical feed (under illuminates dish)
1.6dB NF LNA (Miteq + mil surplus)
8.5GHz DRO down converter
Thank you s-band for your X-Band contribution!
Update X-Band list.
Best Regards
qwer.
