  • Thank you very much. That's bloody low indeed.

I suppose this is your Laminas 2.70m receiving this, right ?

Would you mind to tell me where in Poland you are located ?
Edit: On another screenshot of yours I have seen these coordinates: 51.7N/18.3E

  • An update at 42.0E, maybe other hobbyists are interested to compare what receives in their area with what I'm getting in mine, especially for Eastern and Turkey beam.
I have a desire, namely that those who activate on this forum to post from time to time spectrum with satellites scan with Crazyscan or another application even if it's not a reception of DX.For this reason I follow with great interest what post qwer because he does this both in C band and in Ku band.
I'm convinced that there are many amateurs who would like to see what it can pick up in their areas compared with other areas of Europe.Of course as I'm interested in receptions of dxers as are most on this forum, but I want to know also what the value of the signal in different areas of Europe, let's say,in Poland,Slovakia,Russia,Italy,France, etc. even on the central satellites.
    Thanks :72:

  • 11977 H 27500 with 17,1dB......is that possible???????????
    wer is 12245 H?

  • Hi Kleinraisting :72:,

Yes,it is possible to reach 17 dB.The above list is from last night.
I scanned now,at noon, and the signal on this transponder is 16.5 dB.
On 12245 H signal is 18 dB at this hour.

  • Hi Pawelwa,

Thank you that you accepted my proposal.I'm sure there are many interested in such tables with the value of the signal that you can't find on any site.An example we've had today from our colleague Kleinraisting who have doubts about a transponder.I'm sure there are other enthusiasts on this forum or elsewhere who want to know what's in "the garden" of the other, to some it's richest harvest,at others poorer :91:
I hope qwer and Feedsat to agree with my proposal even if,as I said, this forum is for extreme receptions, rare.
    Best regards :125:

    Hi guys,
    hi satesco,

I can full agree what you wrote satesco. :74:

Every reception or even non-reception is helpful and interesting. So please feel free to post your receptions, don´t be shy...

PS: My "skew-controll" is off right now in Ku-band and will work again after my holiday break in september.

    Best Regards
    qwer.

  • if I draw a comparison between both signal messages I can:t understand some things...........
it seems satesco lives in the middle of the turkey beam.
    I Can't believe 17dB about 12245 H; its impossible in my eyes.

perhaps I see something wrong......... :88:

You must have all the reasons in the world to not believe of signal strength in my area, but since Turksat has changed in recent years his the flotilla of satellites, the signal from them has always been strong in my area regardless of the spot. Now I am confirmed by the report of pawelwa, found in the northern part of Europe, which shows that the signal from Turksat is fairly strong even from Türkiye spot!
That doesn't surprise me,since I have noticed on other occasions a technical negligence on the part of the Turks in regard to the distribution of the signal in certain areas.I don't think that they are interested to observe footprint.I suspect that they wish that the signal from Turksat to arrive in all corners of Europe. It is indirectly a propaganda for their programs especially as most of the transponders have FTA channels.
And on the other hand, when we are talking about signal, each of us have received signal from areas impossible to get with our antennas. In fact this is the beauty of our passion.
But if you still have doubts about this signal, here's how it looks on those two transponders:
